LG’s 34-inch Curved IPS UltraWide Monitor

Looks like LG has the design world firmly in its sites with this curved 34-inch 21:9 monitor packing 3440 x 1440 resolution. The company claims the ultra-wide monitor can replace dual monitor set ups and “allows users to view the screen clearly without distortion at virtually any angle.”

The LED backlighting is said to deliver “deep black levels and rich colors for consistent contrast and color detail” while its color calibration software ensures accuracy on jobs where color matching is crucial.

The LG 34UC97 is compatible with PCs and Macs and reviewers say it handles heavy graphics and video with ease on either platform via two Thunderbolt 2 ports for high-speed data transfers. You also get two HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports and a display port.

The 4-Screen Split feature also makes multitasking easy by dividing the screen into up to four sections at eight different screen ratios. Users can prioritize windows by size and location instead of having to manually resize and position each window individually.

Added bonus: the Dual-Link Up feature allows the monitor “to connect to source devices like smartphones, PCs, cameras, or game systems and display each on a single screen simultaneously”.
