New York – (Feb. 11, 2015) – Veteran New York production executive Danny Rosenbloom and Yann Mabille, formerly creative director for The Mill and Mill+ New York, have joined forces to launch their new interdisciplinary director’s group, INTERSTATE. Conceived as the agile U.S. partner to BLVD, the Montreal-based integrated production company, INTERSTATE will leverage BLVD’s unmatched production/VFX/post powers while empowering directors and clients alike to pursue creative solutions unencumbered by the overhead costs associated with large-scale operations. These solutions will span commercial, music video and branded content productions as well as interactive, immersive and experiential projects.

According to Danny and Yann, who will serve as managing director and creative director respectively, INTERSTATE has also secured the right to represent award-winning director Adam Levite worldwide for commercials, music videos and branded content. With the premiere talents of Yann, BLVD’s creative director Thibaut Duverneix, Adam and others to come, INTERSTATE aims to redefine creative production.

“INTERSTATE is designed to address the ever-tightening demands of modern production, while still offering unlimited creative freedom and craftsmanship,” Danny began. “Our model is to stay slim and focused: With our directors in New York and our backbone in Montreal, we can maintain a boutique culture with a selective quality unmatched in the industry.”

“Together with Danny, whose knowledge of U.S. advertising industry is very comprehensive, we also have a great roster of directors who all come from incredibly varied backgrounds,” Yann explained. “I am very proud and excited about the rich palette that we can provide creatively.”

Danny’s 20-plus years of experience includes service as a member of the AICP trade association’s East Coast Board of Directors, National Labor Board and the National Digital Board of Directors (where he is also a founding member). Most recently the managing director for commercials for creative strategic design agency eyeball, he spent the previous seven years as partner and executive producer of Brand New School, where he ran the New York office and oversaw the company’s global operations. Also taking into account his former role as executive producer and head of production for Psyop, in total he has produced hundreds of commercials and network rebrands.

Yann’s experience in the VFX, gaming and advertising industries has been earned in France, London and New York. For the past 15 years, his specific roles with the Mill in New York were Creative Director, Director at Mill+, VFX supervisor and joint head of 3D. With his extensive knowledge of VFX and production, he has led high-profile projects for leading entertainers, networks, brand and agencies… and his passions for photography, filmmaking and even app development continue to fuel his own rise as a phenomenal director.

Widely known for his innovative work that boldly unifies story, art and design, director Adam Levite has been on the directorial roster of Ghost Robot since 2009, where his most recent projects have been for Ford, Nike, Google, A&E, Toshiba and Verizon, to name but a few. Through his past stints as creative director for Prologue and as a roster director for Partizan and Offspring, he has directed scores of top-tier commercial, branded content and music video projects. As a designer, Adam has produced iconic designs for Atlantic Records, Burton Snowboards, the Guggenheim Museum, Miramax, MTV, New Line, Nike, VH1, Verve Records and others. Among many world famous works, his movie posters for Boogie Nights and Happiness are instantly recognizable.

“Having Adam come onboard right off the bat is a tremendous boost to all of us – his experience and breadth of talents is truly a great complement to the group,” Danny added. “Thibaut is sort of a mad scientist… half filmmaker, half immersive and interactive genius, he is really the soul of the Montreal group, and a real inspiration to us here in New York. Add-in Yann’s elegant aesthetic and attention to details, and all the BLVD resources, and I think we’ve created a truly original offering.”
