Carlos Cortés “Khepri” Short Film

Carlos Cortés, an in-house director at Glassworks in Barcelona, just released this spell-binding look at dualism and renewal with help from Khepri, the mythological Egyptian god-beetle who embodies eternal life and constant transformation.

From Glassworks: “Drawn initially by a fascination with natural themes and the transformative nature of light, director Carlos Cortes’ visual journey led him to investigate the multifaceted essence of the most common things. Once the lights go off, the gentle and the ordinary shift shape, and a new glimpse comes into vision.

“The full-CG production was developed using C4D and rendered with Arnold and Redshift, and Houdini was used for some of the simulation shots.”
