Sibling Rivalry Grows with Addition of Executive Producer Shelby Ross
From the release:
New York City-based creative production collective Sibling Rivalry, founded by Joe Wright, Mikon Van Gastel and Maggie Meade, has strengthened its management structure with the addition of Shelby Ross as Executive Producer.
Shelby brings over 20 years’ worth of commercial and film production experience to Sibling Rivalry after honing his skills at renowned shops including Epoch Films and Smuggler. He then went on to create and executive produce global campaigns for clients such as Gatorade, HP, Northrop Grumman, Google, Samsung, Verizon, and Save the Children.
In his new role, Shelby will work alongside Maggie Meade. The newly minted Executive Producer explains, “I wanted to find a company with an identifiable brand. Building a roster with a solid base and a real identity was important to me. I immediately found admiration in Maggie as a leader and innovative entrepreneur. Joe and Mikon are a few of the leading creative directors and designers in a crowded field, and their live-action directing is magnetic. As a growing company, signing new directors that fit our design aesthetic is my main focus.”
According to Meade, there was an instant chemistry that sparked her decision to bring a new Executive Producer aboard. “In order to grow in the ways we wanted to, we needed a strong EP to come in and take the helm of the live-action division and grow the roster of talent of directors in all different mediums,” she says. “Meeting Shelby for the first time felt like we were already old friends that understood each other’s work ethic, taste level, and the importance of being just a flat-out nice person.”
