LITTLE GUYS RUN OVER BY ADIDAS AGENCIES

Here’s the kind of thing that gives me hives. A friend of mine who works in the trenches at Adidas HQ in Deutchland tells me the company, under pressure from its agencies 180/TBWA is pulling the Adicolor campaign out of competition in Cannes and not allowing it to be entered into any awards shows. Why? Because the high-profile online campaign, created by tiny indie creative shop Idealogue in NY, was a huge success (Adicolour "Pink" has had over 180,000 views on iFilm alone) and was produced for a fraction of what they would have spent on a similiar venture. Bullies in the playgound. Shame, shame, shame.
