From the release:
Troy Browne brings a bold, distinctive voice to multimedia storytelling, creating work for global brands including Apple, Vimeo, Adobe, Crocs, Converse, and Accenture.
Troy’s work is defined by a fearless approach to mixed and emerging media, blending bold color, striking silhouettes, and dynamic animation. His ability to transform source material into a kind of cubist experiment gives each project a unique visual energy, all connected by his unmistakable creative voice.
Growing up on gritty anime like Akira is reflected in the emotive edge Troy Browne brings to his work. His visual signature is unmistakable no matter the project–from celebrating the World Cup with ITV to surreal stories for Adult Swim–and exists beyond the bounds of medium. He mixes his background in motion graphics with experiments in 2D collage and transitions flawlessly into the realm of 3D.
“Troy is fearless,” says Hornet Director/Creative Director Natalie Labarre. “I was immediately drawn to how visceral his work is. His bold, deconstructed approach to design and animation grabs you at first glance, but what really sticks is how he uses motion to make you feel something. The technique is never just stylistic; it becomes part of the storytelling itself. His work is poetic, deeply personal, and intrinsically linked to music. He has something to say, and I really admire his endless experimentation to find new ways to express it.”
Troy Browne never stops iterating. Whether he is giving a new life to found footage, finding new subject matter to create with, or experimenting with automated expressions in After Effects to see where they take him, he is always discovering something new. Old work and workflows become sources of inspiration and learning to inform the task at hand. His endless curiosity shows in his wide-reaching portfolio that spans documentary-style storytelling for Vimeo to vibrant worldbuilding and visual language for Crocs. And it is only expanding.
