Scholar congratulates former Senior Producer Kev Jones on his new role as Executive Producer in the Los Angeles Studio.

Starting as a production assistant in 2014, Kev has internally risen through the ranks at Scholar as a Coordinator, Producer, and Senior Producer, where for the past several years he’s enjoyed contributing to many successful creative collaborations, seeing projects through from initial concept to final delivery. He has helped craft everything – from stylized CG worlds, to artful 2D animation, to full-scale Live Action shoots and everything in between.

Now, as Executive Producer, Kev will begin to start overseeing projects on a larger scale. Kev shares that he looks forward “to strengthening existing relationships, meeting new collaborators and continuing to showcase what the amazing team at Scholar has to offer. I’ve had the opportunity to work with this team for nearly twelve years, and I am still constantly surprised and amazed by this group of artists, producers and technologists.”

At Scholar, Kev is known for his unwavering stability under pressure and positive solutions to every problem. As Director and Co-Founder, Will Johnson, says: “Scholar has had the pleasure of witnessing him step through a series of roles and responsibilities with us and we’ve been amazed at how quickly he has adapted and navigated through all types of techniques across a multitude of projects. Kev’s experience and relationships have cultivated an understanding and appreciation for how each role and skill set makes the production process whole. Director and Co-Founder, William Campbell, adds that “Kev makes the people around him better. He creates clarity, keeps things moving, and helps teams stay focused on what actually matters. That kind of leadership has a ripple effect across everything, from the way projects run to the energy people bring into the work.”

Scholar’s goal is to have the production pipeline be as streamlined as possible. Adding Kev’s style-agnostic approach to production underscores Scholar’s ability to technically shapeshift alongside whatever medium the story needs to be told.
