Caviar Paris is pleased to announce the signing of Spanish director Nicolás Méndez for French representation.
Director and co-founder of CANADA, Nicolás Méndez is the mind and soul behind an outstanding body of visual work. His films bring together exquisite imagery and inventive filmmaking techniques, telling stories through beauty, humor and honesty.
After studying Art History, Méndez began his career in the audiovisual industry as a screenwriter. Following several years working with different production companies, he co-founded CANADA with his partners in 2008. Since then, leading artists and international brands have sought him out to direct commercials and music videos defined by their cinematic precision, emotional intensity, and unmistakable visual language.
Méndez has received widespread international recognition for his music videos. In 2026, Rosalía’s Berghain won the Grand Prix at Cannes Lions, alongside four D&AD Yellow Pencils and further accolades at The One Show and AICP.
His films Comix for El Guincho and Mala Rodríguez, as well as Malamente and Pienso en tu mirá for Rosalía, received Latin Grammy nominations. In 2020, he won the Latin Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video for Rosalía and Travis Scott’s TKN. His video for Beck’s Up All Night was also nominated at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.
As a commercial director, Méndez has collaborated with brands including Instagram, CUPRA, Mercedes-Benz, Apple, easyJet, Cadbury, Budweiser, Chupa Chups and Huawei, among others.
His arrival reflects Caviar Paris’s commitment to representing filmmakers with singular artistic voices and developing ambitious collaborations across crafted and narrative branded content.
