Sean Pecknold Brings His Immersive Animated Worlds to Strange Beast

Sean Pecknold, acclaimed director and stop-motion animator, has joined creative studio Strange Beast. Sean, who has directed music videos for Grizzly Bear, Beach House and Fleet Foxes, brings his award winning animation skills and whimsical craftsmanship to the Soho-based creative studio. Sean says “Strange Beast seems like a really fun family” and he’s looking forward to “projects that push my skills and ideas to the next level”.

Strange Beast’s team of creatives and directors are behind the most innovative work of recent years bringing together illustrators, animators, photographers directors and artists. Sean won the 2012 UK Music Video Award for best animated video for “The Shrine / An Argument” for Fleet Foxes. He has directed commercial work for Ikea, Sony, BBC Knowledge, Dreamworks & Smartwater. Sean is a proud recipient of a Young Gun Award from the Art Director’s Club of America.
