Next up in the Sharks annual calendar of creative events is the Short Film & Branded Content Awards Competition, which which will be judged in Brighton on 28th & 29th January.
It’s very rare that young and/or aspiring directors/producers are given feature films to direct/produce and huge budgets to do the job, without first showing those holding the purse-strings they have ‘the right stuff’. Much more likely is that studios, TV execs and/or those controlling budgets will first say “show us what you’ve got”.
And this is where short films (nb: and DEFINITELY award-winning short films) can be so valuable. Great short films can show studio top brass what directors, producers and all the crew can do, and potentially help everyone involved towards their next career step.
So if you’ve been part of producing a great short film (or films) and/or branded content, now is the time to let the world know it.
