Rupert Sanders & Prodigious Unveil the “The Muse” for Renault

The post and VFX team a Prodigious Paris combine forces with director Rupert Sanders to nudge this theatrical spot for the new Renault Clio full hybrid E-Tech into the realm of a cheeky fashion campaign thru agency Publicis Conseil.

Powered by New Order’s 2001 track “Crystal”, the film reimagines Mount Olympus as a French chateau and features the rebellious Clio and her watchful dad Zeus as it intros the sixth generation of Renault’s best selling supermini hatchback.

“We decided to make a spectacular film. An epic that could be a perfume commercial or a film about the luxury industry.”

Arnaud Belloni, Renault global CMO & chief branding officer: “Clio has not only been the brand’s iconic model for 35 years, it also carries an older heritage: that of the Muse of History. A figure that reminds us that stories must be passed on, shared, and engraved.

“To rise to the challenge, we decided to make a spectacular film. An epic that could be a perfume commercial or a film about the luxury industry, so we put our resources into it.”
