Pictoplasma Storms Back to NYC: September 17-18

In its 12th NYC edition, Pictoplasma presents a dense 2-day celebration of character creativity, full of fresh inspiration, cutting-edge artist talks and presentations, and curated animation screenings.

The focus is on contemporary visual storytelling, plus plenty of opportunities to mix, mingle and meet with like-minded character enthusiasts — as new friends, professional contacts, and future collaborators.

Hosted by the SVA Theatre in the heart of Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, expect an eclectic lineup of creators covering a diverse range of media, disciplines, styles and stories — all ready to take the stage and share their unique focus on character creation.

BRIAN BLOMERTH – Illustrator, cartoonist, musician, and veteran of the underground music and arts scene whose work has graced numerous album covers, posters, and his own line of T-shirts.

SPENCER GABOR – Illustrator and animator creating moments of color and joy, building around zany and expressive characters—while staying true to his love of bright palettes and wonky perspectives.
