Benoit Marzouvanlian & Swanside Stop Making Sense for Mob Links

Director Benoit Marzouvanlian and Paris prodco Soldats link up with the animation/VFX team at Swanside for a two-minute hallucinogenic escapade entitled It Will Make Sense (but it won’t) for French streetwear brand Mob Links.

From Soldat: “With It Will Make Sense, Benoit Marzouvanlian delivers a film that re-examines our relationship with dreams. Moving away from the notion that simply wanting is enough to achieve one’s dream, the film brings to mind a more subtle truth: we do not control our dreams.

“The film adopts a narrative approach almost like a fable, where the director reveals how our most perfect, most brilliant dreams must sometimes navigate an unpredictable reality.”

“Dreams are built like vast puzzles. Each piece an unforeseen moment, an encounter, a detour, a risk taken—is added without warning. We don’t always choose the order or the exact shape of these pieces, but it is by seeking them out, accepting them, and daring to assemble them that the dream ultimately makes sense.

“The film adopts a narrative approach almost like a fable, where the director reveals how our most perfect, most brilliant dreams must sometimes navigate an unpredictable reality. Scene after scene, this film shows us how these detours awaken a deeper intention within us — a way of seeing and moving forward with greater meaning.”
