Join Axl Le and Alan Watts on “The Journey”

Shanghai digital artist and director Axl Le constructs a riveting philosophical odyssey through a surreal world in this CG short film powered by the insights of British writer/lecturer Alan Watts.

Axl Le: “I wanted to do this work after my first trip to Norway in 2017. It is about a planet where some mysterious experiments are being carried out in order to restore the nature of the planet.

“The film consists of three parts: Awakening, Sleep, and Rebirth. Each part uses a different perspective to tell the story of the forest.

“Awakening: Records and observations of an astronaut. Sleep: Talks about the transformation of the astronaut. The planet transformed him, and he became a key part of the planet’s recovery. Rebirth: The revival of the god of life changes the entire planet.

“I hope that after watching this short film, people will be more willing to protect nature and cherish everything that nature gives, rather than destroy her repeatedly.”

When and where, or how, can I see the full film. I’m very excited about this, as I’m a huge fan of Alan Watts, love the concept of the film, and the digital film art looks amazing.

Beautiful. An organic HG Gieger. Aspects of Alex Grey. But completely original. And of course, Alan Watts tied into it. This is visually stunning. To the artist. Thank you

  4. Thanks for catching the typo Igor. Post updated.
