Matthew Bristowe Joins Hogarth as Global Director of VFX

Hogarth, the WPP global creative content production company, has appointed award-winning, VFX, animation, and post-production expert, Matthew Bristowe, as their new Global Director of VFX.

In this newly created role, Matt will champion Hogarth’s globally connected team of 2D/3D CGI producers, artists, and technologists to deliver world-class VFX and in turn, strengthen Hogarth’s global production strategy.

Matt will report to Penri Jones, Global Chief Production and Innovation Officer, and be based out of the company’s head office in London.

Matt joins Hogarth from Jellyfish Pictures where his role as Managing Director saw him overseeing global operations across four studios, covering VFX, Feature Animation, Technology, and Creative. He was also responsible for financial sustainability, strategy, and client management.

Over the course of his well-respected career, Matt has worked across commercial, feature film, and episodic VFX, garnering nominations and wins at the prestigious BAFTA and EMMY awards. His 25+ years in the industry have seen him work with some of the biggest, and most impressive names in the industry, including Warner Bros, Netflix, Amazon Studios, Disney, DreamWorks, Sony Pictures, Paramount, Lucasfilm, and Marvel on landmark shows such as Star Wars the Harry Potter Franchise, Stranger Things, Guardians Of The Galaxy, The Crown, Gravity and more.
