From the release:
New VFX company BRASH launches in London with co-founders Alasdair Patrick, Tom Clapp and Matt Fuller.
This team of seasoned industry professionals have officially started their own business after years of working their way up and collaborating on campaigns for brands like Apple, Audi, Burberry, Nike and more. We’ve also had the pleasure of working with legendary directors such as Ian Pons Jewell, Rubberband, Adam Berg, Wayne McClammy, Traktor, C Prinz, and Dave Meyers, among many others.
“Matt and Tom bring a rare mix of fresh perspective and genuine ambition. The kind of energy that’s impossible to ignore. Working alongside creatives who hold themselves to such a high standard makes every day eye-opening, and every brief feel like an opportunity to execute something with real style and intent.” adds Alasdair.
Alasdair worked most recently at ELMNTL and prior to that, at ETC alongside one of his now partners, Tom. Matt and Tom met while working together as ECD and CD, in their most recent roles. Their goal has always been to build something they could call their own and continue to create bold work.
“In an industry that’s constantly evolving, we’re excited by the chance to keep the focus where it belongs – on the work itself. For us, it’s about letting our work do the talking, while making sure the entire process feels seamless for our clients. It’s an exciting time for us, with BRASH already working on some great projects. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead with Ali and Matt. If we can create exceptional work and make the journey fun and collaborative along the way, then we’re doing exactly what we set out to do with BRASH.” notes Tom.
“Moving back to the UK after 6 years in Los Angeles has given me a perspective on how global creative work is evolving. BRASH was designed to work the way the industry does now. The best ideas today travel effortlessly across cultures, and the tech today allows studios to work the same way. Staying close with agencies and directors is still the best way to build real relationships and keep the creative sharp. But speed and being able to adapt matters more than ever. Being nimble lets us give every project the care it deserves while keeping up with the latest tech. We’re a talented core team, with a world-class artist and production network, and technology that allows us to move quickly and collaborate globally” – adds Fuller, who spent 13 years at The Mill London and Los Angeles.
“AI is everywhere right now. We’re right at the forefront of that technology, but the key for us is using it the right way. It can speed things up and open up new possibilities, but it’s the creative vision and artist perspectives that really shape what we do.” adds Alasdair.
BRASH is excited to organically expand its core team with exceptional talent, further strengthening its already successful client relationships, and take on more bold, innovative work.
