Revenant has expanded their senior team’s key talent with Christopher Smith joining the studio as Executive Producer. With decades of experience within the brand, advertising, film, and immersive sectors, Chris’ hire furthers the animation studio’s placement as a key vendor in rapidly growing areas such as immersive experiences, brand activations, and explorations of AR, VR, and AI.
Chris’ career began with the audiovisual collective Addictive TV, producing experimental films and the ITV1 series Mixmasters. Following this, he built the video production team at Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) to deliver award-winning content for ITV and Fremantle Media, then overseeing MIG’s creative agency to deliver digital experiences for O2, Barclays, Barclaycard and more. He later led Isobar Mobile, a digital agency launched by Aegis (now Dentsu), delivering digital campaigns and content for clients including Diageo, Vodafone and Kelloggs.
In 2013 he founded EMERGE, a symposium about the future of film, delivered in partnership with East End Film Festival and The Barbican. Later as Producer-Director, he released the acclaimed feature documentary film New Town Utopia that screened at festivals internationally in 2018.
As a Consultant and Executive Producer, Chris has led strategy and production of moving image work for global clients including Deloitte, Flora, TAG Heuer, L’Occitane, and Jil Sander, winning awards including Campaign, Cannes Lions, The Drum, IPA Effectiveness, Marketing Week, NMA, and PR Week. On joining the studio, he shared:
