Adobo Festival 2019 Titles and “The Connectivity Economy”
Manila studio The Acid House works with agency Wunderman Thompson Philippines to fashion a distinctive open for Adobo’s 2019 Festival of Ideas and show how “different economic sectors are connecting and prioritizing collaboration over competition.”
Villarica Manuel, art director at Wunderman Thompson Philippines: “Inspired by mathematical equations, we came up with the design concept of endless probability. It felt like an incredibly vast idea so it needed a design language to make it tangible and grounded.
“We created an icon to represent each industry and pin down an illustration style that can live on its own. The icons needed to be simple, recognizable, but still playful.
“The icons were rendered as flat material design at the initial stage, and become more exciting in the 3D rendition with the help of Ivan Despi from Acid House.”
