Duggee and Friends Help Young Ukrainians Feel Welcome

Duggee, the large and lovable dog who anchors Studio AKA’s BAFTA and EMMY-winning pre-school series Hey Duggee, leads the charge in this special episode helping make young Ukrainian arrivals to the UK feel more at home.

To achieve that end, this four-minute musical treat (produced as part of Mother London’s Friendly Faces project) introduces the characters Mavka and Swampy the Kittyfrog, who Ukrainian children will recognize from Mavka. The Forest Song, a home-grown feature film produced by Animagrad studio in Kyiv.

The idea, of course, is that seeing some familiar faces on Hey Duggee will help make the newly arrived Ukrainian youngsters feel more welcome, while the musical translation lessons will help UK kids interact with their new classmates.
