Director Yibi Hu and the team at Future Power Station in London craft an energized, anime-flavored teaser for the upcoming animated series The Tale of Kitsune from the art and music NFT collection Capsule House.

Yibi Hu: “After a successful sale in 2022, Capsule House wanted to push their creative ambition into a wider range of digital content. An animated series was in the creators’ minds and they got in touch with us to create a one-minute teaser, based on the first chapter of the novel Tales of Kitsune by Kris Schnee.

“Capsule House has a wealth of characters but the most visual are simple head-and-shoulder portraits. From these, our team took on developing the main characters and came up with all the background characters.

“To make a convincing product details are important. We invested a lot of time in research and design and concept art. With very limited resources, we had to interpret the script in such a way that we could showcase the main characters as well as the important tower location.”
