Greenpeace Imagines “The End of Oil”

The all-Dutch team of photographer Rein Janssen, special effects artist Erik Voors, and copywriter Pieter van den Heuvel pool their talents for this Greenpeace spot – a stark and poetic ode to our dwindling love for fossil fuels.

Finally
conscience colors the end of a dark era
We’ve come to our senses
For life’s more important than any machine
and water has more value than gasoline
Hmm, we’ve sure had our fun though:
liquid gold
countless machines with roaring engines
excuses for war
and mountains of plastic
Yes, the dark side has such seductive sides
but this is its end:
the end… of oil.
