Explaining complex ideas with appropriate levels of style and energy for the target audience is a balancing act Stash applauds as often as we can – as with this work from content agency Hook for Google Labs’ Doppl fashion app.
From the team at Hook: “Doppl allows you to try on any look just by uploading a selfie. We created this launch video to garner excitement for the app, which allows users to explore their personal style via this endless virtual dressing room.

“One of our challenges was the short time frame, as the Google I/O conference was our launch date. Once we had good model imagery through a traditional photo shoot, we used Doppl to bring in clothes or accessories we wanted to see.
“We also needed to express how expansive this technology can be, using animation to demonstrate the multitude of outfit options available to the user from almost any source, whether that’s an online shop listing or a vintage look from a magazine article.
“Another key feature of the app was the ability to generate a moving video from a still image, allowing the user to see an outfit in motion. We highlighted this with a stereoscope animation that brings a set of still images to life, emphasizing you only need one image to experiment with any style.”
