The Warsaw post and animation collective LUNAPARK (who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year), just dropped us their latest CG experiment, a short dance of sound waves and particles exploring how audio is created.
Artur Kozłowski, art director/CG supervisor at LUNAPARK: “We present sound in its abstract and organic form, as a dynamic, multilayered interaction of particles that, when combined, form a complete and harmonious whole, much like a musical composition.
“We present sound in its abstract and organic form, as a dynamic, multilayered interaction of particles that, when combined, form a complete and harmonious whole.”
“The project emerged from a grassroots team initiative and draws on the studio’s expertise in technology, animation, composition, and sound design. It combines advanced 3D graphics with audio to create an animation illustrating the process of music creation.
“To capture its dynamics, we used computer simulations that replicate the movement of sound waves. A key inspiration was the burst of air generated by a subwoofer, which initiates the motion of particles. Both animation and sound layers were created in parallel, inspiring one another.”
