“So This is How it Feels…” by Chalky Wong

First year CalArts Character Animation student Chalky Wong combines prodigious drafting skills, an organic feel for visual storytelling, plus careful attention to the emotional quotient of his characters.

Wong describes “So This is How it Feels…,” his first film at CalArts, as “A creature of darkness tries to save his only love.”

Wong also made “Two for a Dollar” (below) this year, handling both animation and audio: “A one week film [about] an old construction worker struggling to make ends meet. Inspired by homesickness, and my friends and family back home.”
