Director/CG artist Vladislav Solovjov: “This film for Tallow + Ash (a planet-friendly UK laundry soap brand) allowed me to continue shifting the current stage of my career to something more bright, boutique-looking, and colorful.

“That was a good reason for me to accept the gig and get on board as a one-man army of CD and CGI artist. I was responsible for everything, from early concepts, 3D product modeling, and visualization to animation and final post-production.
 

“Each composition you see in the final video required balanced lighting that would keep the focus on the product but also emphasize the natural beauty of other elements and keep the depth of shadows.”

 
“The biggest challenge I faced during the creative process was the photo-realistic rendering of different ingredients like fruit, plants, and flowers. Subsequently, it affected the render time due to heavy shaders, subsurface scattering, and backlighting.

“Each composition you see in the final video required balanced lighting that would keep the focus on the product but also emphasize the natural beauty of other elements and keep the depth of shadows. That being said, I spent a few rounds trying to nail the composition I had imagined from the beginning.

“As usual, I used Maxon Cinema 4D Redshift as the main render engine and Adobe After Effects for compositing and motion graphics. Nothing extraordinary here. Just the tools I’ve used for many years. A simple yet effective formula.”
