Studio AKA, the London-based creators of stand out titles for BODIES and the prequel to Bridgerton on Netflix (watch here and here), conjure a luminous and richly atmospheric CG treatment to open Chief of War on Apple TV+.

Powered by a score from Hans Zimmer and James Everingham, the series follows the unification and colonization of Hawai‘I in the late 18th century as told from an indigenous perspective.

According to Apple TV+, Chief of War is a passion project for creators Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, who both share native Hawaiian heritage.
