From the release:
Factory Fifteen, a BAFTA and Emmy award-winning filmmaking and experience design studio, today announced Kev McCrae as their Executive Creative Director.
For more than fifteen years, McCrae built and led Revenant, a Glasgow-based independent creative studio delivering award-winning work across film, television, gaming, immersive experiences and branded entertainment.
During that time, Revenant partnered with Netflix, Riot Games, BBC, Oakley, Disney, National Geographic, ESA and Qiddiya, earning recognition from BAFTA, RTS, Collision, Davey, Scottish Design Awards, New York International Film Awards and numerous international industry competitions.
Alongside the hiring of McCrae is a merger of Revenant’s IP, with key projects now under the Factory Fifteen brand and portfolio. Together, they bring a unique combination of capabilities, relationships and creative expertise, creating new opportunities across entertainment, themed attractions, cultural destinations, branded experiences, and original IP development. Nexus Studios will continue to represent Factory Fifteen for branded content in film.
“Kev brings much more than creative leadership. He arrives with an entrepreneurial mindset, an internationally recognised portfolio, deep client relationships and a proven ability to build teams, develop opportunities and deliver exceptional work. What excites me most is the potential ahead for our studio, the best is still to come.” said Paul Nicholls, Factory Fifteen Co-Founder.
“After spending the last fifteen years building Revenant, I wasn’t looking for just another role,” said McCrae. “I was looking for the right home for everything that experience represents – the relationships, the portfolio, and the ambition to keep pushing forward. Factory Fifteen immediately felt like that place. The studio has built an incredible reputation for creating work at the forefront of immersive storytelling, and bringing those two journeys together creates a genuinely exciting opportunity.”
The announcement comes as Factory Fifteen also celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special event in London this week. As they enter the next phase of growth, the studio remains focused on creating extraordinary experiences that inspire audiences, challenge expectations and help redefine what’s possible.
