Henry Scholfield and Electric Theatre Collective Drop a “Masterpiece” for Coke

Directly on the heels of their zoetrope escapade for FREENOW, London VFX force Electric Theatre Collective joins Academy Films director Henry Scholfield for some ambitious art appropriation with Coca-Cola.

Produced thru UK agency Blitzworks, the film references a series of iconic works including Andy Warhol’s 1962 Coca‑Cola, JMW Turner’s “The Shipwreck”, Munch’s “The Scream” (re-colored lithograph) and Van Gogh’s “Bedroom in Arles” before landing with Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring”.

In addition to these classics, “Masterpiece” also features works of emerging creators from Africa, India, the Middle East and Latin America. The campaign extends to an online gallery featuring interviews with emerging artists from the film, as well as 3D billboards and a series of digital collectibles.
