James Brocklebank Sounds Out the LS Luxe for KEF

UK director/CG artist James Brocklebank captures all the sculptural and aural beauty of the LS Luxe speaker range, the latest collaboration between visionary industrial designer Ross Lovegrove and British audio brand KEF.

James Brocklebank: KEF approached me to create a visual identity for the Dusk Titanium edition of their latest speaker range. This process reel features all the experimentation and exploration done on the journey to get to the final piece.

KEF allowed me a lot of creative freedom and after I presented several different concepts, we selected a treatment focused on sound waves and the visualization of sound, taking inspiration from the unique organic design of the speaker itself.

A square artwork with a soft, abstract blue and violet floral pattern radiates from a small black-and-white circle at the center, bordered by a metallic silver frame. Reminiscent of the refined aesthetic found in James Brocklebank’s LS Luxe collection for KEF, the background is a light gray. Frame from Stash Magazine article.

A metallic, abstract circular sculpture with two floating spheres inside, resembling eyes, hovers above a rippling water surface against a dark, gradient background—a striking composition evocative of KEF’s LS Luxe collection and the visionary touch of James Brocklebank. Two metallic-looking objects resembling eyes are encased in a clear, rippled, glass-like oval structure floating on water with concentric wave patterns. With its surreal, futuristic appearance, the scene evokes the innovative artistry seen in the KEF LS Luxe x Ross Lovegrove launch film by James Brocklebank. Frame from Stash Magazine article.

Two modern, metallic speakers from KEF are shown front and back; the front sports a star-shaped center, while the back features textured grooves, an input panel with ports, and a power switch—all set against a neutral background that highlights their LS Luxe design as envisioned by James Brocklebank.
