The Stash crew are big fans of explainer films for good causes, especially when they nail the art, tone, pacing, and message as perfectly as this one from Jolt Studio for UK charity Pets As Therapy.
Wes West, animation director at Jolt Studio: “Pets As Therapy asked us for a film that would inspire new volunteers and make the sign-up journey feel simple and welcoming. The charity brings comfort and companionship to people in hospitals, schools, and care homes, so the tone needed to feel calm, kind and reassuring.

“The challenge was clarity without dryness. Instead of listing criteria, we showed them in context: a friendly dog walking nicely on a lead, taking a treat gently and enjoying a calm stroke.
“We built the story around Pickle, a real therapy dog, with voice over by Pickle’s owner, actor and volunteer Cath Shipton (Duffy from the BBC medical drama Casualty). That choice gave the film warmth and credibility while keeping the information clear.
“Visually, we designed an approachable world and animated the volunteer journey step by step, from online sign-up and café assessment to training and first visits. The result is a film that demystifies the process and leaves viewers feeling ‘I could do this.'”
