Max Leung Finds Hope in New Short Film “Reborn”

Max Leung, a key artist at MPC in London, just released this personal film in an attempt to capture the roller coaster of emotions he experienced when his son was born prematurely in the midst of the pandemic.

Max Leung: “My wife and my son, are both highly vulnerable to COVID. Especially my son, Ethan, who was a 26-week preemie. He stayed in the hospital for three and a half months after he was born.

“We were so grateful when he was discharged but not long after, the pandemic started. We were told to stay in if possible as Ethan won’t make it if he was infected with COVID. Since then, we’ve been staying in for a whole year.

“Luckily I could work from home. I am so grateful. But I also feel trapped. I believe the pandemic will come to an end and everything will back to normal. So I tried to express this kind of feeling in this video.”
