Money Shot: Jean-Paul Gaultier and La Monnaie de Paris

Eddy director Hugo Ramirez and Paris animation studio Brunch re-team for the second collaboration of Jean-Paul Gaultier and La Monnaie de Paris (the French mint) based on the work of illustrator Leïla Courtillon.

From Eddy: “The collaboration started with the creation of 12 coins inspired by the city of Marseille. It goes on with a new collection dedicated to the city of Paris. For this project, the director’s main inspiration was the movie Soy Cuba, which became iconic for it’s long and bold sequence shots.”

Arcane fact: Responsible for producing France’s Euro coins, the Monnaie de Paris was founded in 864 AD and is the world’s oldest continuously running minting institution.
