Netflix “Jaguar” Series Titles by MonoGrafo Studio

From the team at MonoGrafo Studio in Madrid: “Jaguar is a Netflix series produced by Bambú Productions who commissioned us to make the opening titles.

“The story is about a group of former Nazi concentration camp prisoners who are dedicated to persecuting and bringing to justice those responsible, many of whom take refuge in Franco’s Spain.

“The time where the plot takes place is the Spain of the 60s. Our aesthetic references were the poster artists of the civil war, such as Jose Renau, in terms of themes, but we tried to separate aesthetics a bit because the story takes place 30 years later.

“We use red to symbolize the expansion of the Nazis in Spain and darkness and blue to oppose the group that fights against them from the shadows.

“The biggest challenge was to follow the rhythm of the musical theme proposed for the titles, a song that takes the poem by Miguel Hernandez Winds of the People, composed by the group Ebri Knight, and whose rhythm imposed a fairly fast narrative on us.”
