NOMINT and WWF Reteam to Keep the World From Going “Up in Smoke”

Continuing their work for the World Wildlife Fund, director Yannis Konstantinidis and the NOMINT animation team in London mix 3D-printed stop motion and live-action atmospherics into a haunting message about the climate crisis.

Yannis Konstantinidis: “The film was a year-long project shot entirely in-camera and employed a unique production process integrating real smoke with stop-motion animation using a full-color 3D printing technique to create over 700 unique sculptures for different poses of the girl.”

Underscored by a cover of the Billie Eilish track “When the Party’s Over” and released for the COP28 conference in Dubai, the film follows NOMINT’s previous collaborations with WFF, Can’t Negotiate the Melting Point of Ice in 2021 and A Flammable Planet in 2022.
