Andrea Braga and Friends Step Up to Raise Awareness for Endangered Wildlife

Looking to “inspire positive change in the world”, motion director Andrea Braga rallies a team of 15 animators and three sound designers to enhance his original illustrations and focus attention on the plight of endangered animals.

Andrea Braga: “Disappointed Wildlife is more than just an art project; it’s a call to action. Through art and technology, this initiative wants to inspire us all to care about the planet and its vulnerable species. The film features animals divided into five categories: Savanna, Arctic, Rainforest, Mountains, and Marine. They may look disappointed in the artwork, but it’s a way of asking us to take responsibility for their survival.

“I reached out to artists worldwide for their skills and fresh perspectives. The final outcome, blending great animation and sound with the physicality of the printed artwork, couldn’t make me happier.”

“I decided to enhance and make the original 2D illustrated project more impactful by turning it into an interactive experience to engage the audience. I reached out to artists worldwide for their skills and fresh perspectives. The final outcome, blending great animation and sound with the physicality of the printed artwork, couldn’t make me happier. It’s truly rewarding to see these amazing artists connect with the project’s theme and message.

“The illustrations are printed as a Giclée on smooth fine art paper and they have been showcased as an interactive exhibition at Hackney Downs Studios (London, UK) in October 2023. You can also experience this project through Augmented Reality using the Artivive app, which brings the artwork to life simply framing it with your smartphone.”
