BibleProject “Blessing & Curse” Explainer by Ordinary Folk

In their latest motion work for Portland-based nonprofit BibleProject, creative director Jorge R. Canedo E. and his team at Ordinary Folk craft a swirling, painterly, and approachable look at dichotomies in Christian scripture.

Jorge R. Canedo E in in Vancouver: “We love working with BibleProject, and this video on the theme of Blessing and Curse throughout the Bible was no exception.

“We left some of our usual vector and minimal style behind and determined to explore a much more vivid and painterly look, throwing some character animation in there for good measure. This allowed us to use colorful paint strokes when we talk about blessing, and more rigid, dark brushes to visualize the curse.”
