Drift Away into Moon Juryeong’s Short Film “Heaven is a Library”

If you’re in need of a little calm before the holiday storm, Korean motion designer Moon Juryeong has just the thing – a dreamy and ambient CG short film inspired by a lovely quote about libraries from British author Neil Gaiman.

Moon Juryeong: “Neil Gaiman envisioned heaven as a library where knowledge, wisdom, stories, and advice can be obtained, and a refuge open to all. There we can read, listen, and exist. This video visualizes the journey through the wind of chaos to a haven called a Library, following that concept of heaven.

“The petals mark the beginning of our journey. The wind, unable to find a place to stay, wavers as they pass. Amid the confusion and instability in the journey, the petals gradually find out their direction, expressing the inner shaking and the quiet that will bloom within it.”
