FEEDMEE Elevates the Explainer for Gira’s GiraOne Smart Home System

Cologne creative agency FEEDMEE raises the bar for B2B explainer films with this elegant and artful combination of information and emotional engagement for the German smart home brand Gira.

Art director Thomas Gugel at FEEDMEE: “Gira recently presented their new smart home system GiraOne at the Light+Building trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. In addition to the many technical details showcased live on-site, we were asked to visualize some of the highlights of the new system in a film to support the presentation.

“The challenge was to appeal to visitors emotionally, in contrast to the rather technology-heavy and sober films usually shown in the industry.

“The solution was to dive deeper into the smart home system and see it as an adaptable, almost moving structure.”

“The goal was to identify the different areas of functionality and translate them into an engaging visualization, taking into account the Gira design world and being aware of the simple but beautiful language of form they use in their product line.

“The solution was to dive deeper into the smart home system and see it as an adaptable, almost moving structure. This raised the idea of showing the highlights in rooms that build up as soon as they start – for example, by pressing a switch or triggered by automation.

“Always focusing on the product led us to the solution of developing a narrative through a full day of GiraOne. Over an entire day-night period, we show the system as a companion intended to make your life easier, save energy, and offer security even when you’re not at home.”
