Animade director/animator Ricard Badia (whose “Robot & The Robots” film we posted back in 2017), just released his latest CG passion project called “Bees,” a charming yellow-on-yellow mix of geometry and minimal character design.

Ricard Badia in London: “[The film] hasn’t been produced for any client in particular, although some charity organizations that work to protect bees have expressed interested in it.

“The idea was to show bees in a playful way, giving them an extra touch with their stylized shapes and woody textures. And exploring the modular possibilities of the hexagonal nature of their honeycombs.”
