Guardian US “Teachers In America” by Mute

As part of their Teacher Takeover initiative where American teachers guest-edit news pieces on their failing schools, Guardian US commissioned director George Shelbourn at Mute in London to convey the raw emotion involved.

From the video: “I’ve had hungry students who couldn’t concentrate; I’ve filed tax returns for kids’ parents. You’re the only adult they trust – the only adult that talks to them like they’re a person.”

Powerful stuff.
