The team at Paris studio I-réel continues their creative collaboration with luxury watchmaker Ulysse Nardin in this launch film for the new Diver [AIR] sport watch premiered during the Watches & Wonders 2025 trade show.
From I-réel: “The Diver [AIR] features a skeletonized design and advanced materials like titanium, silicon, Carbon-foil, and Nylo®-Foil. With a weight of just 52g, the watch is water-resistant to 200 meters and can withstand forces of up to 5,000 G.
“In line with the Watches & Wonders booth scenography, we imagined a scientific experimentation laboratory located in the Swiss mountains, the UN Centre for Innovation, where the Diver [AIR]’s capabilities are pushed to their limits.
“All the experiences in the film are based on the use of air, as it is what constitutes 80% of the watch’s volume.”
“The universe of the film pays tribute to the performance and lightness of the watch. Pockets that inflate and take flight, balloons compressed up to 20 ATM, shock resistance measured in a vacuum tunnel: all the experiences in the film are based on the use of air, as it is what constitutes 80% of the watch’s volume.
“To add a human dimension, we included sequences showing athletes undergoing tests, pushing their watches to the same limits as themselves. We worked in CGI and motion design, while also incorporating touches of AI-generated animation, carefully reworked within our traditional VFX pipeline.
“To highlight its main features and add aesthetic consistency, we used motion design that refers to the scientific universe of high horology and of course the color of the watch – all consistent with the graphic design used on Ulysse Nardin’s communication assets for this launch.”
