Barcelona studio INSIGHT OUT teams with Lisbon-based 3D design and animation specialists TEF Studio to launch the IRIS intraoral dental scanner, designed by pioneering architect and product designer Philippe Starck.

From the team at INSIGHT OUT: “For the first time in his exceptional career, Philippe Starck has ventured into medical design. We produced the key elements of the IRIS’s launch campaign, beginning with this unveiling video.
 

“IRIS stands for elegance, so we represented the scanning process with light rays that subtly form the shapes of teeth, keeping the video both visually refined and true to the product’s function.”

 
“This teaser video was created to introduce the product for the first time, so we gradually revealed Starck’s design to build excitement. It starts with the interior coming together, followed by the outer body forming until the final design is complete.

“IRIS stands for elegance, so we represented the scanning process with light rays that subtly form the shapes of teeth, keeping the video both visually refined and true to the product’s function. The hero video elegantly highlights IRIS’s standout features, showcasing its sleek design and intuitive user experience with sophistication and clarity.”
