Madrid studio Kutuko, whose ambitious Hamilton spot we featured in Stash 169, lightens up the CG product film genre by transforming this project for the Xiaomi 5 Pro robot vacuum into a romantic tragicomedy.
Álvaro Ibáñez, project manager at Kutuko: “The initial direction came from Xiaomi who aimed to communicate the product through an emotional and accessible lens rather than a purely technological one.
“Visually, the piece balances cinematic warmth with stylized minimalism, using soft materials, micro-scale environments, and intimate lighting to reinforce the emotional tone.”
“Building on that foundation, we expanded and structured the narrative, creating a love story, the tale of two dust balls who fall in love, a charming metaphor that turns everyday dirt into endearing protagonists and places the product naturally within the storytelling arc.
“Visually, the piece balances cinematic warmth with stylized minimalism, using soft materials, micro-scale environments, and intimate lighting to reinforce the emotional tone. Despite its delicate and personal atmosphere, the project was built for a worldwide campaign, requiring precision, scalability, and a flexible, efficient pipeline.”
