Standing Up to Creative Theft With We are Better Than This

London-based animation director Joseph Clark and his Oh Studio crew help rally resistance to the data-thieves of Big Tech in this awareness campaign for We Are Better Than This.

Launched in June 2026 by a group of children’s authors and illustrators, We Are Better Than This is a creative uprising protesting Big Tech and AI platforms extracting and utilizing creators’ artwork, stories, and personal data without permission.

Founders of the initiative include Chris Haughton, Momoko Abe, Ged Adamson, Simona Ciraolo, and Benji Davies, with support from industry organizations the Association of Illustrators (AOI) and the Society of Authors.
