Taika Waititi & Passion Paris Reveal the Puzzling Origin of Najia for Brawl Stars

Working from a script by Oscar/BAFTA/Grammy-winner Taika Waititi, director Anthony Ferré and the Passion Paris animation team craft a snappy slice of action comedy to intro a new character for Supercell’s mobile game Brawl Stars.

Taika Waititi: “Brawl Stars is a game we play at home, so I’m very familiar with its slightly unhinged, chaotic energy. It’s been a lot of fun working with the Brawl Stars team and helping them roll out another piece of the game’s twisted theme park backstory.”

“Our priority behind the project’s creative was emotional connection and comedic timing.”

Caroline Audebert, MD at Passion Paris: “We’re huge fans of Brawl Stars, so getting the chance to again build on that world and push it into animated cinematography was incredibly exciting. Our priority behind the project’s creative was emotional connection and comedic timing.

“The director, Anthony Ferré had a clear vision: pushing comedy and acting through the lens of contrast between our main character Najia and her scene partner allowing Najia’s personality to shine even brighter.”
