Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Meets Tex Avery

Blinkink directing duo Stevie Gee & Essy May channel the spirit of golden-age animation god Tex Avery to punch this campaign for “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon” out of the crowded videogame market by layering crazed 2D over gameplay footage.

With British actor Paul Ridley providing the nursery rhyme voiceover, each video introduces new features from the game with the animation used to provide a giddy, self-mocking tone and cover graphic violence which may run afoul of TV censors.

From Blinkink: “Stevie & Essy were hands-on in almost every aspect of the project from storyboarding and directing all of the video game footage to selecting locations and costumes, with Stevie Gee taking charge of the character design.

“They were even behind some of the sound effects, lending their voices to the ghosts, wolves and creepy crawlies.”
