Directors Alexa Sirbu and Lukas Vojir at XK studio in London (whose work we track here), deploy an array of CG techniques to showcase the key natural ingredients found in the L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox Collection.

Lukas Vojir, CD/co-founder at XK studio: “We combined photogrammetry, proceduralism, and digital sculpting to create hyper realistic digital imagery for L’Oréal to use online, on socials, in-store, and in print.

“This video shows some of the finished work as well as parts from our R&D process and experimentation with gaussian splatting, [a volume rendering technique that deals with the direct rendering of data without converting that data into surface or line primitives].”
