Julia Schimautz Keeps it Lyrical for Pulp’s “Tina” Music Video

Designer/printmaker Julia Schimautz at DTAN Studio in Berlin and newly-launched Gaussian Studio (aka Ines Soutschka and Jessica Barraclough) team on this wonderfully tactile lyric video for “Tina”, a track off Pulp’s first album in 24 years.

Besides the mysterious and unattainable Tina, the risograph-printed frames also feature stills from the band’s recent comeback concert and hi-con treatments of Pulp founder/frontman Jarvis Cocker captured by photographers Eddie Whelan and Paul Burgess.

Jarvis Cocker: “We have been using some of Julia’s animations when we play the song live, so it seemed logical to ask her to make the video. She has done a fantastic job. Many thanks to Julia and her team, and to Tina herself, wherever she may be.”
