Builders Club, the motion design force whose breakout ChatGPT spot features prominently in the Stash Annual 2025, takes an elemental approach to reveal the 2025 Rivalries team jerseys for the NFL and Nike.
From Builders Club: “Nike and the NFL introduced the new 2025 Rivalries uniforms celebrating local traditions and uniting fan communities across select cities and teams. We partnered to craft a series of teaser animations that dropped subtle hints at the new designs, sparking anticipation ahead of the season.
“The creative ambition was massive: 16 films across eight different NFL teams. With live-action production off the table due to logistical constraints, we were tasked with creating a larger-than-life world that felt both epic and architecturally accurate.
“This workflow is now a part of how we approach large-scale projects where traditional filming isn’t an option, but cinematic quality is required.”
“The challenge with AI video tools is often a lack of control, issues like style drift or the inability to maintain the specific geometry of a real-world stadium. So the team developed a bespoke hybrid pipeline that combined the control of CGI with the flexibility of generative AI.
“We started by building CGI skeletons of each stadium to keep the architecture realistic. These served as the base for custom-trained AI models, which we developed using our own internal datasets. By blending player models into these AI-enhanced environments, we were able to deliver precise visuals that stayed consistent across all the teams.
“This project allowed us to explore new tools and build a reliable, scalable system for future productions. This workflow is now a part of how we approach large-scale projects where traditional filming isn’t an option, but cinematic quality is required.”
