Camille Boumans and Ewan Jones Morris Put The Rolling Stones to “Shame, Shame, Shame”

Partizan director and mixed media artist Camille Boumans teams with UK filmmaker/animator Ewan Jones Morris for this loose and low-fi lyric video for The Stones’ cover of the Shirley & Company 1974 disco hit “Shame, Shame, Shame”.

From Partizan: “The animation production was a true collaboration between Camille and designer/animator Ewan Jones Morris, who crafted each ‘page’ of the film with a distinctive visual language.

“The fusion of traditional and contemporary techniques lends the film a tactile quality, evoking the sensation of something carefully made by hand while embracing the possibilities of modern animation.”

“Drawing on a wealth of archival material, the duo employed a mixture of digital design, hand-crafted animation, and in-camera experiments such as stop motion and photographic sequences.

The track will appear on the super deluxe reissue of the band’s 1976 album Black and Blue, releasing in November.
